Baptism at Anchor Church
Take Your Next Step in Following Jesus
At Anchor Church, we believe baptism is not just a ritual—it’s a bold, joyful declaration that you belong to Jesus. Baptism doesn’t save you, but it powerfully proclaims that Jesus already has. It’s the first step of obedience for every follower of Christ, a visible picture of a spiritual reality: we have died with Christ, been buried with Him, and raised to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3–4).
Whether you’re new to the faith, recently trusted in Jesus, or have followed Him for years but never been baptized as a believer—this is your invitation to take that step.
Why Baptism Matters
It declares union with Christ. You’re identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection.
It’s an act of obedience. Jesus commands it (Matthew 28:19–20), and the early church practiced it from day one.
It’s a public proclamation. You’re showing the world that your life belongs to Him.
It unites us with God’s family. Baptism welcomes you visibly into the community of believers (Galatians 3:27–28).
You Might Be Asking…
“I was baptized as a baby—should I be baptized again now that I’ve trusted Jesus personally?”
“I’ve followed Jesus for years but never been baptized. Is it too late?”
“What does baptism look like at Anchor Church?”
We’d love to walk with you, answer your questions, and help you take this step with clarity and joy.
