HIRING: Director of Church Operations

Has trusted the Lord Jesus Christ by faith as personal Savior, demonstrates a growing relationship with Him, and lives a public life of Christlikeness above reproach.
Is in full agreement with the Anchor Church’s leadership, purpose, vision, and ministries (membership is preferred but not required).
Demonstrates a servant’s heart with humility, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
Maintains discretion and confidentiality in all matters related to church members and church business.
Able to coordinate multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and manage tight deadlines under pressure.
Possesses the interpersonal and organizational skills necessary to work independently while also collaborating with staff and ministry teams.
Holds a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and can successfully pass a criminal background check.
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule.
Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff, volunteers, vendors, and members.
Able to become familiar with and oversee all aspects of campus facilities, systems, and scheduling.
Knowledgeable of state and local building/property maintenance codes, and fire and life safety regulations; committed to maintaining facilities in accordance with these standards.
Proficient in basic computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Overview:
Anchor Church is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Director of Church Operations to ensure our ministries and facilities operate with excellence and efficiency. This part-time leadership role (20–25 hours per week) oversees church administration, finance, facilities, and human resources—supporting the church’s mission to make disciples and serve the community for the glory of God.
What You’ll Do:
Finance & Budget Support
Partner with church leadership to prepare and manage non-personnel/non-missions budget line items.
Supervise bookkeeping services and maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
Accounting & Financial Processing
Process weekly contributions and receivables, including preparing deposits and entering information into the church CRM and QuickBooks.
Process bills and accounts payable in QuickBooks, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Reconcile credit card statements based on employee expense reporting.
Reconcile monthly bank statements and report discrepancies to the Body of Elders as needed.
Approving staff time cards, preparing payroll, processing income tax payments, and PTO record-keeping.
Operations & Administration
Coordinate the church calendar, room usage, and facility support for services, events, and ministry activities.
Serve as the point person for ministry leaders regarding facility use, custodial needs, hospitality, and event logistics.
Maintain up-to-date records including facility usage, service agreements, warranties, and maintenance schedules.
Manage incoming/outgoing mail and other operational tasks as needed.
Facilities & Grounds Management
Oversee the Church Custodian by helping prioritize weekly tasks and ensuring readiness of facilities for all church functions and ministry activities.
Lead facility care and maintenance, including janitorial services, landscaping, preventative maintenance, and safety protocols.
Oversee vendor and contractor relationships—soliciting bids, coordinating service, and ensuring performance.
Maintain and monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance.
Ensure compliance with fire safety and life safety codes; serve as primary liaison with the Fire Marshall.
Manage access to buildings and key distribution.
Team Leadership
Supervise custodial staff, volunteers, and contract workers.
Develop simple, written procedures for event setup, facility use, and maintenance routines.
